It had appeared that the planning application by Owr Construction Ltd to build a three-story apartment building at the corner of Fairyhouse Road and Seagrave Hall had lapsed on 28 February. However on 26 February Meath County Council Planning Department received a request from Thornton O’Connor (the agents) for a three month extension, and this was immediately granted. Indeed, another eight days were added to allow for for Christmas!
Two Surveyors were working on the site on Friday 9 March 2018. The inevitable conclusion is that Owr Construction are preparing a new planning application. It seems likely that they will submit this to Meath County by June, hoping to gain approval before their current planning permission (for two houses) lapses in December 2018.
It will be interesting to see if Owr attempt any prior consultation with local residents in order to try avoid a repetition of the objections and opposition that their proposal for an apartment building created.
From a check of the MCC online planning portal, Owr Construction Ltd failed to provide the additional information requested by 28 February 2018. If they have not quietly asked for and received an extension, the planning application has presumably expired.
